Exercise Weapons Are Getting More Expensive Again
Exercise Weapons have been part of Tibia for more than eight years. On October 6, their gold prices will increase by another 25%, marking the second major price adjustment since 2024.

From 210,000 Gold to More Than 12 Million
Exercise Weapons were introduced on April 24, 2018, giving players another way to train their skills without spending hours hunting or repeatedly using mana potions. The weapons could be purchased from the Store for Tibia Coins or from NPC magic and weapon shopkeepers for 210,000 gold. Each weapon came with 500 charges.
At the time, training with an Exercise Weapon was a fairly straightforward deal. Buy the weapon, find a dummy, and let your character do the work. The only thing players had to remember was not to interrupt the training by moving or performing other actions.
Things have changed since then, especially when it comes to the price.
More Charges, Higher Prices
In November 2020, CipSoft introduced two additional versions of Exercise Weapons with more charges. The Durable version offered 1,800 charges, while the Lasting version came with 14,400 charges. Naturally, the larger versions cost considerably more gold, but they also meant fewer interruptions to buy another weapon.
Exercise Shields arrived on August 22, 2023, allowing players to train their shielding skill in the same way. They followed the existing system, with regular, Durable, and Lasting versions sharing the corresponding weapons’ charges and prices.
For players who prefer training over hunting, the system has become a familiar part of everyday Tibia life. The prices, however, have not remained as familiar.
The Price Increases Keep Coming
The first increase came only six months after release. On October 29, 2018, regular Exercise Weapons went from 210,000 to 262,500 gold.
In 2024, CipSoft raised the gold prices of all three Exercise Weapon versions. The change was announced in May and arrived with the Summer Update on July 1. Regular weapons went from 262,500 to 347,222 gold, Durable weapons increased from 945,000 to 1,250,000 gold, and Lasting weapons rose from 7,560,000 to 10,000,000 gold.
Now another increase is on the way.
According to CipSoft’s announcement on October 1, the NPC gold prices of Exercise Weapons and Exercise Shields will rise by 25% on October 6, at server save. The new prices will be:
- Exercise Weapons and Shields: 434,028 gold, previously 347,222.
- Durable Exercise Weapons and Shields: 1,562,500 gold, previously 1,250,000.
- Lasting Exercise Weapons and Shields: 12,500,000 gold, previously 10,000,000.
Training Is Getting More Expensive
CipSoft says the changes are part of its ongoing efforts to address inflation and rising Tibia Coin prices. Increasing the gold cost of items purchased from NPCs is one way to remove more gold from the game.
For players who regularly train with Lasting Exercise Weapons, the difference is not exactly pocket change. Each purchase will cost another 2.5 million gold. That is a noticeable increase for anyone who goes through these weapons regularly.
Of course, the weapons will still do what they have always done. Your character will train, the charges will disappear, and eventually you will need another one. The only difference is that your next trip to the NPC will leave your bank balance a little lighter.
Whether these adjustments will have a meaningful effect on inflation remains to be seen. For now, players who rely on Exercise Weapons should keep the new prices in mind before their next training session.
A Possible Solution for Double Skill Weekends?
There is another idea worth considering: allowing Lasting Exercise Weapons to be used for offline training.
During Double Skill weekends, worlds can become so crowded that players who actually want to hunt, complete quests, or play with their friends end up waiting in login queues. Meanwhile, some characters stay online for hours simply to train their skills. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it does take up space on already crowded worlds.
If players could use Lasting Exercise Weapons for offline training, some of them might choose to train without staying logged in. That could free up capacity for people who want to actively play during the event, rather than spending part of their weekend staring at a login queue.
It would need to be balanced carefully, especially regarding training rates and the number of charges consumed. Still, with another Exercise Weapon price increase coming, perhaps it is time to consider giving these weapons a little more flexibility. Double Skill should be about enjoying the game and making progress, not fighting for a spot on the server.
