The Monk – A New Vocation This Quarter?!
Tibia is about to get its fifth vocation – the Monk. Who is the Monk? Here is what we know so far.
Tibia will soon get its fifth vocation – the Monk.
Who is the Monk?
– A melee fighter specialized in unarmed, fist-to-fist combat.
– Has abilities that support and heal allies.
– Uses martial arts and mystical powers to defeat enemies.
– Its defining traits are harmony, virtue, and inner peace.
– A wide range of content tied to this vocation will be available from the very start.
CipSoft mentions on its official website that, if everything goes according to plan, the Monk’s official release will take place in the second quarter of this year.
Along with the enormous hype for the fifth vocation, the community is flooding the developers with questions.
Frequently asked questions:
What about the Desert Quest? This quest was designed for the four vocations, so won’t the Monk get a shot at the reward? Liamas reassures that dedicated content has been created for the Monk, including new quests. He won’t reveal details, though, so as not to spoil the surprise.
Will there be an imbuement for Fist Fighting?
The Elemental Spheres Quest is meant for the four vocations. Will the Monk be able to complete it?
What about familiars? Will the Monk get its own familiar, and if so, will there be a figurine for it (see: A Pirate’s Tail Quest)?
How will the Monk affect boss fights and other aspects of the game? Will we see umbral weapons adapted for Fist Fighting? Will we use Monk Remains in the fight against Count Vlarkorth?
The questions keep piling up, and we’ll get the answers on February 25, when the testing phase begins!
